About Ovulation Induction

Ovulation Induction

In order to raise the likelihood of conception, ovulation induction in Baner, Hinjewadi, Wakad, Ravet & Pune, a fertility treatment, employs medicine to trigger or control ovulation or boost the quantity of eggs produced throughout a cycle.
Ovulation induction stimulates the release of one or more eggs from the ovary using fertility drugs. In order to induce pregnancy, ovulation induction may occasionally be combined with a process known as intrauterine insemination (IUI). IUI involves inserting a tiny catheter straight into a woman’s uterus with washed, concentrated sperm.

The procedure majorly goes through three stages:

  • Stimulation When you are done taking your oral or injectable medications, your hormone levels and follicular growth are monitored throughout the stimulation cycle. Your drug regimen (kind and dose) may be changed as needed for the best outcomes.
  • Control During this stage, blood tests, and ultrasounds are used to gauge the impact of the strong hormones that are utilized to trigger dramatic changes in your body. These tests are performed to monitor the pattern in which your natural hormones and the newly introduced treatment in your body are working.
  • Ovulation (Egg release)  At this stage, you receive an intramuscular injection of hCG in preparation for sexual activity or intrauterine insemination when the follicles are mature enough depending on your stimulation drug (IUI).

Since delivering concentrated sperm in the appropriate ovulation period increases the chances of conception per cycle, IUI is advised for the majority of couples undergoing ovulation induction. IUI is specifically advised for couples with male factor infertility or in cases when a woman is using donated sperm. It is frequently used for infertility with no known etiology as well as for women with mild endometriosis.
